White Gate Caravan Park survived the storms and Tenby Lifeboat took the challenge!

Despite being hit by storm Ophelia and storm Brian within a week, amazingly White Gate Caravan Park was unaffected. All of our lovely caravans stood strong in the the 70+mph winds and none of the surrounding trees took any significant damage.

The surrounding area was affected however and Tenby Harbour took a real battering as you may have seen on the news

Tenby volunteer life boat crew did an amazing job when a call was received at 9.00 a.m. on Saturday 21 October saying someone had been washed off the rocks at Shrinkle. They launched the all weather lifeboat “Haydn Miller” from Tenby and proceeded to undertake a full search of the area in storm conditions.

Thankfully whilst the search was underway the coastguard received a call to say the person had been found on shore safe and well. Follow this link to read a full report in the Pembrokeshire Herald about the incident and see a video of the launch – Life boat launch

You will be pleased to know that all is calm, and peaceful again now in our little corner of Wales and Tenby is back to it’s beautiful self again.
